Preferring “YES” to “NO”!

Yes or No, the Question

“Never allow a person to tell you no who doesn’t have the power to say yes.”

Eleanor Roosevelt

You know, this post is a check in for myself and maybe each of you. You see, I am the one who has the power to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’. I wonder, what do we say to ourselves as we dare to do something unusual for ourselves — be goofy, create something new and different, say something to someone that is bold and not the usual you . . . ‘Yes, do it!’ or ‘Hold back, what will people think?’ I am working on a continual ‘Yes!’

According to Guy Kawasaki in one of last summer’s Success Magazines, saying ‘no’ stops a possibility cold. Does that mean that ‘YES’ opens all sorts of doors? I sure hope so. While struggling with saying yes about a current issue, Seth Godin’s blog ‘on behalf of yes’ arrived in my mailbox. Serendipity?!!?

As I move forward toward getting it done, I am saying “Yes” — even better, absolutely YES!

Always the question – which is really me?

All this from reading Daring Greatly, delving deeply into my own vulnerability and looking into which is truly me — yes, or no.

Blessings and have a great day!
