Something different: a Facebook post from a friend, Bernadette Gleeson
I absolutely love this post by Bernadette. She talks about one of her ‘homies’ and their discussion about the difference between routine and rhythm. I can, and hopefully you can too, feel her excitement and the love she has for life and the adventure in perception of ‘life as a rhythm’. Personally, I love seeing and feeling my life this way. Rhythm gives me the flexibility and creativity to move through life with flow and grace. Life as a rhythm is much more loving towards ourselves. It gives us that flow and grace. Check out this out:

My homie, Derek, shared something with me yesterday that I fell in love with, and I wanted to share it with all of you! I was asking him about “routine” and if that was important to him. He said “It’s less about a routine and more about a rhythm, B.” We went on to discuss even more what that looks like, and I fell in love even further!
Here are some differences: A routine tends to be fixed, and a rhythm is flexible. A routine can have a feeling of being laborious and obligatory, whereas a rhythm can inspire movement and empowered choice. A routine can feel very robotic, disconnected, expected and mechanical . . . but a rhythm is organic, conscious, human, earthborn, creative and cultivated. Dang, I get to have some very deep and brilliant beating hearts in my life!! #trekthis
