Throughout our days, we receive hundreds of messages from family, friends, coworkers, the media, corporate America, even messages from our Selves. Some messages are words of love; some are less than loving; some are requests, some give us feedback (good and bad,) and of course some want to sell us something (ugh).
This blog is dedicated to bringing you a different kind of message – one to lift you up, to make you smile or chuckle, or to have some fun. This blog is dedicated to creativity, mine and yours. And maybe most importantly, this blog is dedicated to each of us being our most magnificent self possible.
I recently returned from an excellent retreat. A delightful woman there shared the following quote with us. I want to share it with you.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us. It is in everyone. And as we let our light shine, we give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
Blessings and have a wonderful day!
