“I’ve reached a point where I’m comfortable in my own skin, and I do what I need to do, to feel good, but I’m built the way I am. The dancer’s feet, the bruises on my legs, they’re not going to go away. I think real girls have bruises. Tough chicks get bruised. They get dirty. And they have fun.”
A new realization: when I am at my very best, I am feeling good; and when I am feeling good I help others to feel good too. Really, that is what I do – I help others feel good. Whether I am coaching, working at expressive art, just for myself or with others, or doing some energy work, I help others feel good. This is exciting!
You know what? When we do what makes us feel good, within reason of course, the energy of it rubs off on others. We are sharing that good feeling in the words we speak, in how we listen, in the stories we tell, with our our smiles, and all the ways in which we connect with others. Of course, that works with feeling bad too, but I choose not to go there. I feel too good!
I came home from a invigorating meeting this morning totally jazzed, dancing around the kitchen singing James Brown’s version of “I feel good”. So when we look on the positive in life, when we laugh and sing, when we play and have fun, we are boosting not only our energy and enjoyment of life. We are sharing it with all of those around us. Being jazzed is a very good thing!
How about you? Do you want to feel good too? Think about it; what makes you feel good? What of those things can you add more of in your life. On the way home from that meeting I started thinking about what makes me feel good . . . talking with friends, meeting new people, finishing a project, working/playing in my kitchen, planning a trip and . . . yes the one other thing in life that makes me feel good – blue water, sunshine and sea breezes. That was just for fun :)!
One thing that makes me feel good!
Again, what makes you feel good? Think about it!
Keep watching and reading. I am focusing on feeling good and those things that help me to do so. Check me out on Facebook for a daily dose of feeling good or give me a call for my upcoming expressive art schedule or a free sample coaching 260-615-5280.
